These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of this website and your registration for pre-licensure contractor education courses facilitated by Contractors School, LLC (“Contractors School,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By registering for a course, submitting payment, or otherwise using this site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms apply only to Utah pre-licensure contractor courses facilitated through this website. They do not necessarily apply to continuing education (CE) courses or other optional programs that may be offered by third parties.
Pre-licensure courses are in-person only, as required by the State of Utah.
Classroom sessions are hosted at facilities operated by the Associated General Contractors of Utah (“AGC”). Instruction may be delivered by representatives of AGC, government agencies, or other approved instructors.
Contractors School facilitates registration, administrative support, reminders, and licensing guidance. Contractors School does not guarantee the identity of individual instructors for any class session.
Class schedules are subject to change due to attendance levels, instructor availability, facility issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.
If a class is canceled or rescheduled, students will receive at least 48 hours’ notice when possible. If a student is unable to attend a rescheduled class date, a refund or alternative accommodation may be offered at the discretion of Contractors School and/or AGC.
Full payment is required at the time of registration to reserve a seat.
Prices are listed per seat.
No sales tax is charged.
Seats are limited and availability is not guaranteed until payment is successfully completed.
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before class start time are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of class start are subject to a $50 non-refundable fee, which covers food and administrative costs.
Failure to attend a scheduled class without notice will result in a $50 non-refundable fee.
Remaining tuition may be forfeited.
Students may reschedule at no cost if notice is provided at least 24 hours before class start.
Rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of class start will incur a $50 rescheduling fee.
No refunds are provided for poor attendance, early departure, or missed course hours.
All required course hours must be attended to receive a Completion Certificate.
Partial attendance does not qualify for certification.
Completion Certificates are issued after class in:
one physical copy, and
one emailed digital copy.
There is no fee for replacing a lost certificate.
For in-person classes:
Day classes include lunch.
Night classes include dinner.
Meals are provided as a courtesy. AGC and Contractors School are unable to accommodate specific dietary restrictions or special food requests. Students are responsible for managing their own dietary needs.
Completion of a pre-licensure course:
Does not guarantee approval of a contractor license
Does not guarantee exam passage
Does not replace or waive any additional requirements set by the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL)
Final licensing decisions are made solely by DOPL. Exams, insurance, bonding, business formation, and other licensing requirements are separate from the pre-licensure course.
AGC reserves the right to remove any student from class for abusive, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior at its sole discretion.
Students removed for conduct violations are not eligible for a refund.
By registering for a course, you consent to receive transactional and informational communications from Contractors School, including:
order confirmations,
scheduling details,
reminders prior to class start,
and service-related updates.
Communications may be sent via email and/or SMS. Marketing messages are not required to receive course-related information.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Contractors School is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from course participation.
Participation is at your own risk.
Contractors School does not assume responsibility for licensing outcomes, employment decisions, or business success.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in courts located in Utah.
